Hyperthyroidism is organ specific, autoimmune disease, in which function of the thyroid gland is constantly stimulated by specific antibodies. The first symptoms are neurological - emotional instability, nervousness, depression, sweating, tremor of the hands. Other complains are tachycardia, extrasystolia, fatigue and muscle weakness, reduction of body weight with good appetite, diarrhoea, high temperature, menstrual disturbances. There can be arterial hypertension, diabetes and osteoporosis.
